Jewish life on film – Diversity past and present
The Jewish Community in Hamburg is organising the fifth Jewish Film Festival Hamburg in cooperation with the Institute for the History of the German Jews from 15 to 19 June 2025. The film festival has established itself as a cultural event in Hamburg in recent years.
This year, four feature films and one documentary will be shown, highlighting the diversity of Jewish life – from historical perspectives to contemporary topics from contexts around the world. The screenings will take place in the Zeise-Kinohallen, the Metropolis-Kino, the Abaton and the Passage-Kino. The programme is complemented by events that invite discussion and dialogue.
