A guide for digital historical research
Following a workshop on the challenges and potential of thesauri for Jewish history held in Halle in June 2025 in cooperation with NFDI4Memory and in collaboration with the Moses Mendelsohn Center in Potsdam, Dr. Anna Menny and her colleague Nina Zellerhoff M.A. (MMZ) have now also commented on the white paper “Kontrollierte Vokabulare und Normdaten der historisch arbeitenden Disziplinen (Version 2.0)", published by Historisches Datenzentrum Sachsen-Anhalt, Halle 2025. The white paper is written by Dr. Katrin Moeller, Felix Köther M.A., and Dr. Anne Purschwitz. It focuses on specific aspects of Jewish history and Jewish studies. The paper, which was published on Zenodo, is intended as a guide and orientation aid for historical research and offers an overview of vocabularies and standard data in historical disciplines. In addition to definitions of terms, it also contains recommendations and sample examples.
