1st Network Conference in Berlin

Dr. Karen Körber and Susanna Kunze, M.A. participated in the 1st network conference of the BMFTR programme “Causes and Dynamics of Contemporary Antisemitism” (June 8-9) in Berlin. Dr. Karen Körber, the consortium coordinator, presented the research project 'Jewish Reactions to Antisemitism in Educational Institutions (REACT)' (2026–29), which encompasses four research sites (IGdJ, University of  Hamburg, University of Tübingen, KOAS Berlin) and the subproject REACT 'Jewish Actors', based at the IGdJ. The research project examines processes of self-organisation and self-expression among Jewish students, teachers and faculty members opposing antisemitism in German schools and universities. The conference provided an opportunity for initial networking and exchange among all 13 research projects funded as part of “The Research Network on Antisemitism in the 21st Century”.
