We are horrified by the terrorist attacks by Hamas against Israel, which severely trouble us. We express our deepest sympathy with the victims and with their families. For many years the Institute for the History of the German Jews has maintained numerous and profound academic collaborations with Israel, and so our thoughts are especially with our colleagues and friends there.
