German Studies Conference in Israel

Scholars working on German-Jewish history and culture in Israel will gather for the annual German Studies Conference at ANU Museum, Tel Aviv University on 27 June 2024. Topics will range from intercultural dialogue in the late Middle Ages and Early Modern Times over multilingualism and multiculturalism in German literature and intellectual history between critique and theology to sociological perspectives and German-Jewish ethnography. IGdJ Director Dr. Kim Wünschmann will participate in a panel on institutional history as well as the concluding roundtable that will discuss German Studies (in Israel) after October 7.
